His Majesty's Arrival

It’s known that the traditional thinking of Friederich Döbline was what finally made this country stable after sixteen years of awful republican government. My name is Maurice Hanley, His Royal Majesty’s personal adviser; I have been his teacher and mentor since he was ten years old. Today is the day when I finally see a dream of about nineteen years become real. Albert Alexander Augustus will become the Lion of the Great Empire of Lowen and Egmonstein. This day had been delayed by a series of unfortunate events.

On January 17 1765, after a war in the Bosnian Colonies, the Aristocrats rose against the Lion Albert II, in order to destroy him, and the monarchy with him. In March the Insurgent forces were close to the Royal City of Lowe, where their majesties and the Liger Albert Alexander were trying to defend their position. On March 21 His Highness and I were travelling to Tremulia, the great Empire of the Liger’s Grandfather, the Emperor Albert X. We both arrived at Notan Harbour on April 19, three days before their majesties were executed.

His Highness acquired the Tremulian Noble titles Duke of Somaly and Archduke of Tremulian Empire. Unfortunately there was civil war in the Tremulian Empire. Albert of New Tremul was opposed to Emperor Albert’s politics and therefore decided to split Neotremulia from the Tremulian Empire. Emperor Albert was an old man who would never free Neotremulia; the Empire had lost a lot of territories, making it no longer the largest empire in the Epic Lands. Thus the war began and Emperor Albert commanded the Duke of Somaly to become a general and a great diplomat.  
In 1774 the war ended. Albert of New Tremul was crowned as Albert I of Neotremulia, and two years later Emperor Albert died, making George IV the new Tremulian Emperor. George wanted to fight Neotremulia for the Colonies in the Tremulian Tongue a large area to the north of Rina and in the south of Omnes. Albert Alexander refused to declare war and he left the army and travelled to Neotremulia, visiting his cousin the Duchess Marianne of Nocoburg. In 1778 Friederich Döbline gained power in the Lowen Empire and subsequently promised to return the monarchy to the Empire. On May 23, 1781, the Lowen Ambassador asked Albert Alexander to return to Lowen to be Crowned.

Now we are here and I see how the people rejoice. Friederich Dobline and his committees are here, waiting for His Majesty, and I can’t describe all that I see; humans, lehosans, grotics, elfs, waiting for Albert III to get out of the ship. In the Harbour there are a lot of decorations and soldiers wearing elegant uniforms, and there waiting is the royal coach. Finally, Albert Alexander steps out of the boat and people celebrate his coming to land. The people scream “Long live Albert Alexander”, “Long live Albert Ganesvoort”, “Long live the Lion”. Confetti came from everywhere. Soldiers shoot to honor the new Lion, Albert III, Ganesvoort Da Matrace, Lion of the Lowen Empire and King of Egmonstein.
